Funding Sources
UBC draws principally on four sources of revenue: annual operating
income, including the provincial government grant, tuition fees
and investment income; research funds from external agencies; capital
funds from public and private sources; and funds from donations
and endowments. In addition, some projects are operated through
cost recovery (e.g., Housing and Conferences) or supported by government
grants. Some of the targets listed in this operational timetable
will be achieved through a reallocation of existing resources or
through cost recovery; others will depend upon our ability to increase
our success in fundraising activities and research competitions.
